The Glen Canyon Recreation Center in
San Francisco’s Glen Park neighborhood,
opened in 1938 during the Great
Depression – and certainly showed its
age. But a major renovation refurbished
the gym and auditorium; overhauled
the mechanical systems, roofing, floors
windows and walls; added accessible
restrooms; and brought the first indoor
climbing walls to the City’s park system.
