Use your love of singing for good this holiday season! Members of the Pittsburgh Threshold Choir sing in groups of two or three at the bedsides of hospice patients and others who are very ill, or dying. It works with a number of hospices in Allegheny County and will also respond to individual requests when possible. Family Hospice in Mt. Lebanon is just one of the locations. A great family project to help little ones this holiday season! Its mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. It does this by giving them gifts of new, handmade blankets, quilts and afghans, lovingly created for Project Linus by volunteer“ blanketeers.” The blanketeers are part of the mission as well— seeking to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
