South Fayette Middle School received its first redesignation of the Schools to Watch distinction this school
year. The school first received this recognition in 2015 but had to undergo a thorough review process in order
to earn this Level I Redesignation. The distinction is only held for three years before the school has to be
reevaluated and identified as a model middle school. On Monday, May 6, the middle school hosted an awards
ceremony in which it officially received the redesignation award from the state Schools to Watch organization.
