WHAT’S NEWS IN SOUTH FAYETTE ALLEGHENY COUNTY ADDS SATURDAY HOURS FOR MARRIAGE LICENSES AND PASSPORTS THROUGH OCT. 28 The county’s marriage license and passport office will offer Saturday hours over the summer to accommodate requests for more convenience. Begun in April and running through October, the office will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. These hours are in addition to the office’s regular hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Marriage license services are available to residents of any county who are intending to marry in Pennsylvania. The marriage license process includes completing an application and appearing at the marriage license office. No appointment is necessary. For additional information and to start the marriage license process, go to alleghenycounty.us/marriage. Applications will not be processed after 4 p.m. on weekdays or after 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Passport services are available to all U.S. citizens, regardless of county or state of residence. First-time applicants for a passport book or passport card must complete and submit an application in person, along with proof of U.S. citizenship, proof of identity and two photographs. Children’s applications have additional requirements. Unlike other passport locations, no appointment is necessary at the Allegheny County passport office. Outstanding seniors were nominated by the Student Life staff for their dedication to Duquesne University’s mission statement, Emily Squiller poses with Dr. Ken Gormley leadership positions, service, of Duquesne University at the recent academic achievements, and Leadership Award ceremony. their presence on campus. Squiller was nominated by Adam Wasilko, and was a member of TOMS Club. She is Director of Freshman Development and completing her student teaching at Colfax Director of Disabilities Services. Squiller, who graduated on May 13 with Elementary School in Squirrel Hill and also taught abroad for several weeks in an Early Childhood Education degree, Dublin, Ireland. had a 3.96 GPA and last year acted as Squiller will be attending Vanderbilt Orientation Director, serving over 1,600 University in the fall to earn a master’s freshman students.
