SOUTH FAYETTE
verybody can be great...because
anybody can serve. ...You only
need a heart full of grace. A soul
generated by love.” Martin Luther King Jr.
2019 marks the 8th year that South
Fayette continues to offer and dedicate
Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a Day of
Service to the students and staff of the
District. This year, volunteers assisted at
Repurposed, which is a thrift store in the
North Hills. Portions of proceeds generated
from Repurposed benefit the program,
Living in Liberty, which offers a secure safe
house for victims of human trafficking, does
street outreach with victims, and educates
the community at large about trafficking.
Students sorted through clothing,
tagged, and organized items throughout
the store. Their assistance was greatly
appreciated by the staff and management
of Repurposed and they were welcomed
back to volunteer at anytime!
Thank you to the following MLK Day of
Service 2019 Volunteers: Jackson DeWitt,
