Toddler Storytime
Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
Ages Birth through 3 years
Pre-walkers, toddlers, their caregivers
and older siblings will enjoy 20 minutes
of reading, song, sign language,
networking and early literacy activities.
Preschool Storytime
Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 a.m.
Ages 4 to 6 years
Preschool and pre-kindergarten
children (with a favorite adult) will have
fun with engaging books, songs and
activities or crafts as they build their early
literacy, social and fine motor skills.
Kids in Motion
Wednesdays, March 21 and 28, at
10:30 a.m.
For ages 2-6.
This is a movement program for
toddlers, preschoolers, and their
caregivers. We will start the program with
animal yoga stretches and move on to
other active play. Program will end with
bubbles! Please wear shoes and clothing
appropriate for running, jumping, and
stretching.
Crazy 8’s Math Club Session 1

For children currently attending
kindergarten or first grade only!
Join Crazy 8’s Math Club,
where you will build stuff,
run and jump, make music,
and make a mess. A totally new kind of
math club. It’s Math Gone Wild! Ms.
Judy and Ms Nicole are running the

ZION LUTHERAN HOSTS CHRISTMAS
PROGRAM
Students of Zion Lutheran Church’s Early Childhood Center hosted a
Christmas singing celebration on Dec. 4. The evening included several holiday
favorites sung by the children of the center, as well as a solo by Tevia Grimenstein.
Pastor Edward Grimenstein provided the closing prayer for the night. Doug
Krantz was the pianist for the evening. The children learned the songs and
rehearsed with staff as part of their daily activities at the center, overseen by
Center Director Tracey Harris. Following the event, the church invited everyone
to a reception.

the year. Children should plan to attend
all 8 weeks. To register, children must
have been enrolled in kindergarten or
first grade since September 2017. Home-
schooled children must have turned
5 years old prior to August 31, 2017.

NAMES JOHN T.
SULLIVAN, M.D.
NEW CHIEF MEDICAL
OFFICER
St. Clair Hospital announced the
appointment of John T. Sullivan, M.D., as
the hospital’s new Senior Vice President
and Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Sullivan joins St. Clair Hospital
from Northwestern Memorial Hospital
in Chicago, where he served for 17
years in a number of clinical, academic
and management positions, most
recently as Associate Chief Medical
Officer for Academic Affairs, and as
Professor of Anesthesiology in the
Northwestern University Feinberg
School of Medicine. He is also the
immediate past-president of the
Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and
Perinatology.
Dr. Sullivan earned his medical
degree at the University of Michigan
Medical School. He completed
a residency in anesthesia at
Massachusetts General Hospital, which
is affiliated with Harvard Medical
School. More recently, he received
an MBA from the Kellogg School
of Management at Northwestern
University.
Dr. Sullivan has also held a series
of progressively responsible positions
with the Navy, and currently serves as a
Commander in the Naval Reserve. n
