National Drug Take-Back Day — Saturday , October 29 , 10:00 a . m . to 2:00 p . m . In conjunction with the Shaler Township Police Department , Shaler North Hills Library will serve as a collection site for any unused , unwanted or expired pre-scription or over-the-counter medications in an environmentally safe way as a drive-through in the Library parking lot .

Give Big Pittsburgh — All day Tuesday , November 29 . This 24- hour online fundraising effort , hosted by Pittsburgh Magazine and local sponsors , offers Shaler Library the chance to raise funds to purchase large print books and more .

Teen Vendor and Craft Fair – Saturday , December 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p . m . Here ’ s a fun way to do some holiday shopping while supporting our local teen entrepreneurs ! Come shop an array of hand-crafted items ( crafts , baked goods , jewelry and more ) created by talented local teens . This fun event is open to all .

SNHL accepts donations of gently used books and DVDs ( movies ) in good condition all year round . We especially want Children ’ s books and puzzles . Please place them in the book bins behind the white door to the left of our outside bookdrop .
