Special care for special deliveries When baby Charlie was delivered six weeks early, he was admitted to West Penn’s advanced Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for round-the-clock monitoring, treatment, and infection control. His mom, Caitie, and dad, Tim, were impressed by the level of care Charlie received and by how much they felt at home while they visited Charlie in his private nursery. With specialized medical care and a little TLC from his family, Charlie was healthy enough to go home just two weeks later. #LivingProof “We knew Charlie was receiving the best care in the best possible place.” – Tim Herbener, NICU Dad
