Perhaps a pierogi after a program would hit
the spot? Then again, who could pass up
hot fresh pizza when leaving story time?
Northland Public Library Foundation
will host food trucks in the parking lot, a
popular fundraising opportunity that leaves
many patrons hungry for more. Starting
in May, Tasty Trucks @ Northland will be
available every first and third Thursday of
the month. A different food truck vendor
will be featured on those Thursdays with
a portion of the profits going toward
Northland Public Library Foundation,
which helps to provide ongoing financial
support for Northland Public Library. Visit

Wagman Observatory Star

A Star Party is an invitation to anyone
wishing to enjoy and learn more about the
splendors of the sky. Amateur Astronomers
Association of Pittsburgh members set
up a wide variety of telescopes (basic and
advanced models) and offer visitors stunning
close-ups of celestial objects. Many visitors
also bring their own telescopes to take
advantage of viewing conditions at the site.
Others use the occasion simply to view the
stars and planets with their own eyes. There
are more 2016 Star Party dates available.
