Peace also bought the building next door to enlarge the parking available and accommodate his wife Nora Curley Peace ’ s law practice .
The addition provided four more dental chairs to the existing five , for a total of nine . Administrative offices are located on the house ’ s second floor . If the setup sounds quaint , that ’ s because being the neighborhood dentist is what Dr . Peace set out to accomplish when he first started .
“ We describe ourselves as a neighborhood family practice , serving everyone from age 1 to 100 ,” Nora says . “ When we first started out , Dr . Peace mainly handled emergency cases because a lot of practices weren ’ t . It was a hectic schedule , but he ended up with a lot of great , lifelong patients because of it . Because of that start , we continue to handle emergency patients , but have also kept a flexible , patientfriendly schedule with evening hours four days a week , and we are open three Saturdays a month .”
