Mother’ s Day FUNdraiser sponsored by the Friends of Shaler North Hills Library Sunday, May 6 at 1:30 PM A perfect gift for moms, sisters, BFFs and all special women in our lives. Celebrate them with relaxing activities, learning stations, food stations, drinks, and a takehome gift bag. Tickets are $ 25.00 and will be on sale soon at SNHL. All proceeds benefit the Library. V-E Day Celebration Tuesday, May 8, 1:00 to 3:00 PM V-E Day celebrates the end of World War II in Europe. The Library is honored to accept and install a WWII plaque honoring the local home front and their efforts to raise funds and supplies for the troops. The VFW will conduct a short ceremony. Glass City Swing Band will be on hand with tunes to get us“ In the Mood” and Rosie the Riveters will make return guest appearances! No registration needed.
“ Don’ t be afraid to ask” If you have an area of interest or are looking for a specific item that you can’ t find on our shelves, please let us know. We can frequently order it online for you, or have it sent to the Library for pickup. We look forward to serving you!

An Evening of Poetry & Music Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 PM Celebrating the works of local poets plus the beauty of words and storytelling. Free and open to the public and featuring readings, music, and refreshments. Books will be available for purchase. No registration needed.
Brush Buddies Night with Artist Elaine Bergstrom Friday, April 27, 7:00 to 9:00 PM Paint it and take it! Bring snacks, beverages( BYOB) and your creativity. COST: $ 25 prepaid at registration includes canvas, paints, brushes and Elaine’ s guidance. Limited to 30 people. Payment due at registration.
Meet the Author: Lynda Schuster Tuesday, May 1, 6:30 to 8:00 PM Dirty Wars and Polished Silver: The Life and Times of a War Correspondent Turned Ambassatrix is Ms. Schuster’ s story of her life abroad as a foreign correspondent in war-torn countries, and later, as the wife of a U.
