MILLVALE RECOGNIZED AS A PLATINUM CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE MUNICIPALITY
In November, Millvale announced that it is the first borough and the fourth municipality in Pennsylvania to earn Platinum Certification( highest performance level) through the Sustainable Pennsylvania Community Certification program. It had previously earned Gold Certification through the program. Originally deployed in southwestern Pennsylvania by Sustainable Pittsburgh, the certification has gone statewide— recognizing small, medium and large municipalities across the Commonwealth. The Pennsylvania Municipal League and Sustainable Pittsburgh applaud municipalities for their demonstrated commitment and sustainability performance.
