Senator Randy Vulakovich is sponsoring a Senior and Disability Resource Expo. The Expo will feature a variety of informational booths geared toward senior citizens, individuals of all ages with a disability or multiple disabilities and their caregivers. Exhibitors will range from state and federal agencies to non-profit organizations as well as local disability advocacy groups that provide services affecting the health, safety, and welfare of senior citizens and individuals with a disability.

State Representative Hal English will be sponsoring an Off-Site Mobile Shredding Event in conjunction with Hampton Township School District’ s Recycle Rama. Secure collection of personal documents will be provided at no charge. Limit of two-13 gallon bags or boxes. No books, magazines or metal, other than staples.

A program will again be conducted by VFW Post 9199 and American Legion Post 785 to celebrate Memorial Day.
Saturday, May 6 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon Kiwanis Park
In addition to a variety of plants, there will be a flea market, bake sale, basket auction, wine auction as well as educational children’ s activities.

CHILDREN’ S FAIRY HOUSE WORKSHOP

Hosted by the Shaler Garden Club Friday, June 16, 7:00 to 8:30 PM Shaler North Hills Library
Children ages 4 to 8 and their parents are invited to the library to learn how to create and then to participate in the construction of magical fairy houses on the library grounds, using natural materials provided by garden club members.

WalkBikeShaler is a grassroots organization of Shaler residents interested in improving infrastructure, education, and policy aimed at making it safer to walk, run, and cycle in Shaler Township.
