On June 7, 2017 Lieutenant Sean Frank graduated the 268th Session of FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. The FBINA is a professional course of study offered to ranking police officers throughout the United States as well as international departments. The 12-week program is offered on the Marine Base at Quantico, VA, and is taught by FBI Agents on a variety of areas including: law, behavioral science, forensic science, leadership, communication and health/fitness. Acceptance is by invitation through a nomination process. As a graduate of the FBINAA Lt. Frank joins Deputy Chief Kevin Boyle as an alumnus of this prestigious association. Congratulations to Lt. Frank on this awesome accomplishment. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Shaler North Hills Library Saturday, October 28, 2017 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Shaler Township Police Department, in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration will be assisting in our Drug Take-Back. This will remove dangerous and unnecessary threats from the medicine cabinets and permits the proper disposal of these items. What type of medications can you submit at collection sites? Any over the counter, controlled substance or prescription required drugs can be submitted. Tablets, capsules, ointments, creams and liquids will be accepted in its packaging. No need to take medicines out of the original package or container. The public can submit it as is, no need to separate pills or medication in any form. What items will not be accepted at the collection sites? Sharpies and syringes will not be accepted due to safety reasons.
