SHALER ROTARY CLUB GOLF OUTING
The Shaler Area Rotary Club’ s annual golf outing took place on June 6. During the event, the Rotary Club presented a track chair to disabled veteran and Millvale resident DeWayne Rettig. Two years ago, the club committed to a matching fundraising campaign for the chair with support from local VFWs and the Millvale Rotary Fund. Rettig was injured in Germany while on active duty. He is now able to travel to his family’ s camp and enjoy the outdoors. As a service organization, with many of its members formerly in the military, this was a special campaign. The entire club feels indebted to Rettig and all local veterans.
