Clear Pricing
When you need it most, clear pricing and compassionate guidance are essential, with
There is a quandary with funeral pricing that I often consider. Do I advertise a lower price just to get people in the door, or do I give a complete price that includes everything needed for a funeral? I choose complete, up-front pricing. It may be higher, but it’ s honest and helps families plan without surprises.
It is not uncommon to hear from people whose previous funeral homes quoted one price, only to add charges later. One out-of-town friend shared that her husband’ s funeral— a viewing, church service, cremation, and urn burial— ended up costing much more than expected.
Planning a funeral is never easy. Amid the emotions, many families must make quick decisions about services, products and costs. At Perman Funeral Home, we understand how overwhelming this can feel. Transparent pricing allows families to make informed decisions, avoid unexpected expenses, and feel confident they’ re being treated fairly. Clear communication and complete information are central to how we support families during these times.
Funeral service prices vary depending on what you choose. Clear, itemized pricing makes planning simpler. Whether you are considering a traditional burial, cremation, or memorial service, knowing the costs up-front allows thoughtful choices. You will see exactly what you are paying for.
When families know what to expect, they are confident they are making the right choices. We don’ t believe in“ Oh, by the way” surprises.
Not all funeral homes operate the same way. Some may be less transparent because each service is unique, while others may hope to upsell additional services. Unfortunately, this can leave families confused, stressed, or even feeling pressured. I know a young woman who had to bury her mother. The funeral director told her,“ If you loved your mother, this is what you should do.” That kind of pressure is heartbreaking.
Families can help too by discussing what services they would want, before meeting with us. Many calls start with,“ How much is a funeral?” We then ask about viewings, funeral services, private family goodbyes, or direct burials— each option affects pricing. Taking the time to plan as a family helps everyone make informed decisions.
We believe families deserve the best. Being open about costs and offering options is simply the right thing to do.
Our goal is to make a difficult time a little easier. You can download or request a detailed price list, ask questions about any service, and feel confident you are making informed choices. Whether planning ahead or making immediate arrangements, you don’ t have to face it alone.
