$ 5 admission fee per person Featuring DJ Rick Wirth! Craft beer will be available for purchase from Acrospire Brewing Company. The pool will close early that evening for adults to enjoy the pool! You must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID to enter. Outside alcohol is not permitted at Crawford Pool.

2026 Shaler Great Local Gardens Contest Do neighbors compliment your lovely garden? Does a neighbor have a show-stopper garden? Why not celebrate these gardens and talent by entering the Shaler Great Local Gardens Contest? Everyone in Shaler and surrounding areas are welcome to enter this casual contest. It’ s easy to enter. Simply submit 5 photos of your garden along with a description of what makes your garden special. We love a good story! All types of gardens, including flower, vegetable, herb, or container, will be considered. Drop off your entry at the Shaler North Hills Library located at 1822 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116 by July 6. Photos will not be returned. Winners of the contest will be announced at the Shaler Garden Club’ s meeting at the library on July 22. 18th Annual Shaler Great Gardens Tour Sunday, July 12 from 11:00am-3:00pm Treat yourself to a walkthrough of five spectacular local gardens that will delight your senses and inspire your creativity. Join us for the 18th annual Shaler Garden Club’ s Great Gardens Tour on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 11:00am to 3:00pm. All proceeds benefit the Shaler North Hills Library. Tickets can be purchased at the library located at 1822 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116 for $ 20 in advance or $ 25 the day of the tour. Tickets are also available on the library’ s website. Your ticket includes hosted visits to the 5 beautiful gardens and a chance to win a lovely gift basket. The event is held rain or shine. SHALER AREA ROTARY CLUB
The Shaler Area Rotary Club annually awards two $ 2000 scholarships to district Seniors attending secondary education. This year, we wanted to congratulate our recipients, Kaylee Graff and Alexis Frisbee. Kaylee will be studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire and Alexis is planning to pursue Pre-Veterinary Medicine. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
Shaler Rotary participated in Rotary’ s Epic Day of Service Challenge on May 16th where clubs choose projects that meet local community needs and partner with other clubs. This year’ s projects included volunteering with the Allegheny Land Trust at Girty’ s Woods for trail maintenance and volunteering with Variety the Children’ s Charity’ s field day.
To continue our community service projects, the Shaler Area Rotary Club hosts an annual charity golf outing at Wildwood Golf Club. Save the date for this year’ s event which is on Monday, September 14, 2026 with a noon tee off. We have an open invitation for sponsors and golfers to join us.
