WATER RATE ADJUSTMENT
The Reserve Township Board of Commissioners approved the 2026 water and sewer rates as part of the annual budget. There was NO increase to the Reserve water and sewer rates. Allegheny County Sanitary Authority did increase their rates, so you will see a 7 % rate increase for ALCOSAN sewage treatment( which is passed directly to ALCOSAN). The Capital Improvement charge was raised by $ 2.00 per quarter. This goes into the Capital Improvement Fund to partially offset the cost of improvements to our water and sewer infrastructure.
Service line leaks: Many residents of the Township experience service line leaks in their private service lines. Please note that by Ordinance, the homeowner is responsible for all repairs starting at the connection to the main; this would include any leaks between the main and the customers’ curb box. All service line repairs need to be made within a reasonable timeframe to reduce the cost of any unmetered water, since the loss must then be spread across all water customers.
