Giving Students A Voice
Shaler Area High School gave students a hands-on opportunity to find their voice with a podcasting workshop. The introductory session empowered students to learn the technical and artistic skills to make their own podcast. Offered in partnership with SLB Radio, Shaler Area Podcasting 101 Workshop was a hands-on session that introduced attendees to the fundamentals of podcasting, including content creation, recording, and editing.

Medieval Day Invites Students to Step into History
Students from the middle grades encounter the Middle Ages. As the culmination of a unit exploring Medieval Europe, students at Shaler Area Middle School celebrated Medieval Day before the end of the school year. Students, wearing medieval attire, rotated through activities including a plague game, an escape room, jousting, and creating a personalized coat of arms.
Field Trip Fun: National Aviary
The Imaginations of third-grade students from Scott Primary School took flight with a visit to the Aviary. Students enjoyed learning more about our feathered friends, from penguins to jungle birds, through this field trip. haler area school district SHALER AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT NEWS
