The Sewickley Farmers Market is now open every Saturday from 9 a . m . to 1 p . m . through November — rain or shine . The market is located at St . James Church of the Divine Redeemer Parish and supports an eight-month weekly local farmers and early merchants market . NEW RENAISSANCE THEATRE SHOWS
The New Renaissance Theatre announced the “ unscripted ” Shakespearean plays it will be presenting for the 2024 season , “ Much Adoe About Nothing ” and “ Twelfe Night , or What You Will .”
This group performs unrehearsed Shakespeare ( oftentimes with hilarious results !) at open-air spaces all around the Pittsburgh area . This year ’ s tour will run from June 21 through July 14 . Watch the schedule to see where they are performing , and catch one of the free shows !

TRI-STATE MCDONALD ’ S RESTAURANTS TEAM UP WITH THE PENGUINS FOR A CAUSE
Fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins found a new way to cheer on the team while also supporting an amazing local charity . And it scored in a big way !
At the beginning of the NHL season , McDonald ’ s restaurants across the tri-state

Local Mickey D ’ s sold the sleeves for $ 6 and a portion of the proceeds benefited Ronald McDonald House Charities ( RMHC ) of Pittsburgh and Morgantown .
The grand total ? $ 60,000 to support families who travel to Morgantown and Pittsburgh seeking lifesaving care for their children . RMHC provides a home away from home for those families so they can focus on their children ’ s recovery .
“ I ’ m so pleased this promotion raised significant funds to underwrite the vital work RMHC is doing in the community ,” said McDonald ’ s owner / operator Art Alamo .

SHEETZ TO GIVE AWAY $ 880K THROUGH SUMMER SWEEPSTAKES CONTEST
Sheetz , a major regional restaurant and convenience chain , announced a new sweepstakes contest that will award a total of $ 880K to four lucky customers who fill up at Sheetz this summer .
From now until Aug . 14 , customers at Sheetz locations that offer gas will have an opportunity to be entered into this contest . During these dates , customers will receive entries into the contest for doing the following :
• 5 entries for every gallon of Unleaded 88 or E85 ( Flex Fuel ) purchased .
• 1 entry for every gallon of other fuel grades purchased ( Regular , Mid- Grade , Premium , Ethanol Free , Diesel Exhaust Fluid and Diesel ).
• 1 entry for customers who redeem 88 My Sheetz Rewardz loyalty points .
Drawings will occur on May 29 , June 26 , July 24 and Aug . 21 . Winners of each drawing will receive $ 220K in prizes . Customers must be a My Sheetz Rewardz member and then opt in to the sweepstakes through the My Sheetz app , by email , in store , or via the prompt on the fuel pump while filling up .
Customers can track their number of entries at the bottom of their receipts .
Sheetz officially launched this contest by lowering the price of Unleaded 88 to 20 cents lower than the price of Unleaded 87 , at all stations where Unleaded 88 is available . This limited-time offer will last until the sweepstakes end on Aug . 14 .
40TH SEWICKLEY HOUSE TOUR BENEFITS THE CHILD HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF SEWICKLEY
Guests took part in architectural splendor and philanthropic giving as the Child Health Association of Sewickley proudly presented the much-anticipated 40th Annual Sewickley House Tour May 3 & 4 . The tour was an immersive exploration of some of Sewickley ’ s historic and new homes to raise funds for children ’ s charities across western Pennsylvania .
The 40th Sewickley House Tour invited guests to embark on a captivating journey through the town ’ s storied past and vibrant present . From elegant Victorian to charming cottage and modern tech-savvy , each meticulously curated home offered a glimpse into Sewickley ’ s architectural heritage and the timeless craftsmanship that defines this picturesque community .
“ We are thrilled to have welcomed guests to the 40th Sewickley House Tour , a celebration of both our town ’ s charm and history , and our commitment to the well-being of children in need ,” said Laura Cherock , co-chair for the Child Health Association of Sewickley fundraiser event . “ With every ticket that was purchased , attendees not only enjoyed a memorable experience but also contributed to vital programs and services that support children ’ s health and wellness across our region .” n
