register for Summer Reading. Mike the
Balloon Guy will be here to make creative
balloon animals and Books the Bear will be
on hand for a meet and greet!
Starry Sky Storytime
Monday, June 10, 6 to 7 p.m.
Come for a special family storytime
where we’ll sing songs, read books, and
do a craft all about space. Then, a special
treat—we’ll be laying out under the stars
indoors! Curious? Sign up for this family
program; it’s out of this world! For families

Family Yoga
Friday, June 14, 11 to
11:45 a.m.
Join us for yoga and
stories. Bring your yoga
mat or a beach towel
and wear comfy clothes.

Join us at Fern Hollow Nature Center in
the Nature Outdoor Classroom for creative
play, outdoor discovery and crafts! Bring
along a picnic! No registration required.
Aesop’s Fables - Puppet Show
Friday, June 21, 2 p.m.
During this special puppet show, your
family will be delighted by five short fables
including “Androcles and the Lion,” “The
Woodcutter and the Mermaid” and “The
Tortoise and the Hare.” With puppets
designed by puppetmaker Cheryl
Capezzuti in an adaptation by Kellee Van
Aken, these stories are brought to life for

The library is teaming up with Quaker
Valley Schools and the
United Way to bring
the BookStop program
to the Sewickley Valley.
This partnership helps
to distribute books
to children in local
communities. Sewickley
Library will be going
on two “book runs” on June 26 & July
31. Each book run has four stops where
books will be distributed. Check out the

more details about times and
stop locations closer to the
dates!
American Girl Saturday

Adulting 101

Headed to college but can’t do your
own laundry? About to get your degree
but still don’t know how your student
loans work? Moving into your own
place but you’ve never cooked a meal for
yourself?
Adulting 101 is a three-part series
focused on the fundamentals of
adulthood, whether that’s establishing
credit, keeping a calendar or sewing a
button back onto a shirt! Covering all the
necessary survival skills
of getting older, these
workshops will have you
facing your future with
confidence and a sense of

Live Action MINI MARIOKART
Friday, July 12, 7 to 9 p.m.
The popular video game comes to
life at Sewickley Public Library! Test
your driving skills and scoot your way to
the finish line before your competitors.
Featuring TWO mini kart courses, this
brings the fast fun from the screen to real
life! Free and open to all students entering
grades 6 to 12. Registration is required.
Friends of the Library Book Sale
The Friends of the Sewickley
Public Library Spring Book Sale is
here! Find some great reads!
The sale hours are Friday, June 7 (9 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m.), Saturday, June 8 (9 a.m. to
4:30 p.m.), and Sunday, June 9 (1 to 3:30
p.m.). Bag Sale Day is Sunday ONLY! Fill
up a bag for $5! All proceeds benefit the
Sewickley Public Library of the Quaker
Valley School District.
