T
he only time Piatt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Robyn
Jones ever left Quaker Valley was when she went away to
college at Ole Miss and lived in Louisiana and California
for a few years. So to say she knows Sewickley and Northern
Pittsburgh inside and out is an understatement.
“I was born and raised in Sewickley. My family had a small
family business in town and I came back to start my family and
business here as well,” Jones said. “And with real estate, I can be
an ambassador for the Quaker Valley area. My clients will know
that, if they’re looking at Sewickley, their kids will go to school
where I went to school and where my children go to school. I love
helping people move into this area because I get to see that next
generation and help them plant roots in this community.”
Not only did Jones grow up in Sewickley, her family has always
been involved in the community and helped foster its growth.
They were a founding family of Christ Church at Grove Farm,
which started in their living room in Sewickley Heights. Her
father’s accounting business handled the audits for the Child
Health Association of Sewickley. The family always supported the
organization’s signature house tours, and now as an adult, Jones
sits on its board of directors as treasurer.
With over four years under her belt as a Realtor, Jones’ focus
has been Quaker Valley, Avonworth and North Allegheny—
markets she follows deeply, leading to unparalleled expertise.
She closed 13 transactions her first year in real estate and
averages over $8 million in sales each year. It’s no wonder she’s
been voted the Best Realtor in Sewickley in local surveys. Her
marketing background helps her move homes quickly through
all media channels for sellers and allows her to drill down into the
data available on the market to find opportunities that buyers
may otherwise overlook.
“I’ve been very fortunate that my business has grown as
quickly as it has,” Jones said. “My degree in marketing helps with
that, but my clients tell me that knowing the area as I do makes
all the difference for them. I love real estate, I love the flexibility
it’s given me to raise my three children, and I love this community
and helping families to find the right home here.”
Another aspect of her job that Jones loves is helping people
change their situation in life, whether that’s moving from lots of
land to something that’s low maintenance or from a starter home
into a dream home that will accommodate a growing family.
“I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of piecing together buyers
and sellers and helping them to learn about our community, she
said. “I view myself as an ambassador of sorts for Sewickley.”
