One of Zelie’ s finest days! Start the day by participating in the Firecracker 5K. For the 11 a. m. parade down Main Street, position your chair along the route and cheer on your favorite float. Greet Little Mr. and Little Miss Horse Trading Days. Afterward, stroll to the Community Park for food, soft drinks and desserts at the concession stand. For the kids, there will be games and inflatables. Enjoy live musical performances, and be prepared to experience an amazing fireworks display at approximately 9:45 p. m. The Kids Triathlon started out as a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh but has become so much more over the past 17 years. The event has helped raise $ 880,000 to build and repair homes for people in need, while giving kids a fun, energy-burning activity in the summertime.
