SPONSORED CONTENT BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT Welcomes Dr. Roseann Covatto Dr. Roseann Covatto As one of the largest obstetric and gynecologic groups in Western Pennsylvania, Premier Women’s Health is growing to fill the need for talented and compassionate doctors while maintaining a reputation for delivering quality women’s health care. This summer, Premier Women’s Health welcomes Dr. Roseann Covatto. Dr. Covatto, a resident of Beaver, has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology for over two decades. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, she is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, received her medical degree from Temple University and completed her residency at West Penn Hospital. Dr. Covatto maintains a practice in obstetrics and gynecology and admitting privileges at West Penn Hospital. During her tenure there, she has been an Associate Program Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency, a System Peer Review Chairperson and System Chairperson for the Labor and Delivery Developmental Committee. Patient safety, especially in the area of Labor SPONSORED CONTENT and Delivery, has been the focus of her career over the past decade. She has been instrumental in the implementation of many safety initiatives in the Labor and Delivery Unit at West Penn. “I love taking care of the patient — that’s what drew me into this field,” says Dr. Covatto. “Obstetrics and patient safety have been a big push for me over the last 10 years. Early recognition of potential complications in pregnancy is essential, especially today when the average age of mothers is rising.” She explained that women getting pregnant later in life can deliver healthy babies, but can exhibit unique challenges along the way: “We are seeing a shift in the age of our obstetrical patients. Women are delaying childbirth and, as expected,
