organization comprised of the members of five Sewickley-area garden clubs and Sustainable Sewickley . SCGC is dedicated to civic beautification and sustainability , education on the maintenance and use of plants , and the conservation of park and public green spaces in the greater Sewickley area . Each year , SCGC also supports area beautification projects and sustainability through grant requests .
Tickets for the garden tour are $ 45 and can be used on Friday , June 17 , from 5:30 to 9 p . m . and Saturday , June 18 , from 10 a . m . to 4 p . m . More information can be found at sewickleygardens . com .

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful ’ s Pick Up Pennsylvania program can provide the tools and resources to help get you started . Join thousands of fellow Pennsylvanians and participate in litter and illegal dump cleanups ; beautification projects , such as tree and flower plantings ; recycling collections and public education programs .
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful partners with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection , PennDOT and national sponsors to provide free trash bags , gloves , and safety vests to registered participants , as supplies last .

THE SEWICKLEY GARDEN TOUR
Sewickley Civic Garden Council ( SCGC ) will present the 2022 Sewickley Garden Tour June 17-18 . Guests will be able to tour the grounds of five spectacular gardens in Sewickley and Sewickley Heights . Keeping with tradition , on Friday evening there will be a sampling of wine and hors d ’ oeuvres at each of the five gardens .
Proceeds from the Sewickley Garden Tour will benefit SCGC , a nonprofit

The Kathy Hall Memorial Scholarship is a $ 1,500 scholarship awarded annually to a female senior student residing within the Avonworth School District . To so many , Kathy Hall was a role model , a confidant , a teacher and aptly described as a professional best friend . Laughter , courage , grace , kindness , selflessness and energy were her trademarks . The scholarship application asks students to reflect on these qualities and how the student has or will exhibit them .
The Avon Club Foundation Scholarship is also a $ 1,500 scholarship awarded to a female senior student residing within the Avonworth School District . This year ’ s application focuses on how events of the past two years have impacted the student .
Both scholarships are open to senior students attending Avonworth High School as well as private and homeschool students , but the students ’ home address must be located within the Avonworth School District footprint .
