With a creek meandering through it, this park is home to five baseball diamonds, a vast playground known as Kids Kingdom, miles of hiking trails, a basketball court, and the Mayernik Center, available to rent for events year-round. Summer comes alive between Labor Day and Memorial Day at the Avonworth Community Park Pool, a public swimming pool complete with a slide, diving board, baby pool, changing facilities, and a snack bar. The park is a collaborative effort of the municipalities of Ohio Township, Emsworth, Ben Avon, Ben Avon Heights and Kilbuck. Visit the website for more information.

Do you love birdwatching? This 220-acre site is a non-traditional borough park that can be used for hiking, birdwatching, etc. The park also contains the Bell Acres Trail, which was created with a joint effort of the Quaker Valley High School Earthforce 2001 Group and Bell Acres Borough. The trail is a quarter-mile long and ends at the Merriman House foundation. The Merriman family is believed to be the first settlers in the area. There are no facilities located at this park. Like a magical secret garden! This park is a great way for little ones to learn about different native species of plants, including many wildflowers. Named after noted mystery writer Mary Roberts Rinehart, the park was once part of Mrs. Rinehart’ s estate. Amenities include winding paths that lead to a community fire pit, picnic tables, flower garden( Pollinator Gardens), a creek, and an amphitheater. Visit the website for more information.
