REGISTRATION OPENS FOR 2025 YMCA OF GREATER PITTSBURGH TURKEY TROT
Pittsburgh’ s beloved Thanksgiving tradition is back! Registration is open for the 2025 YMCA Turkey Trot, presented by UPMC Health Plan.
More than 8,000 participants are expected on Thursday, Nov. 27, for the 5-mile run, 5K and 1-mile fun run— all benefiting YMCA food pantry programs and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
Since 2020, the YMCA has distributed more than 120 tons of food to local neighborhoods, and proceeds from the race continue to support these vital efforts.
Turkey Trot participants will receive a long-sleeve hooded shirt, with options for a commemorative medal or the“ Double Gobble” challenge for those running both the 5-mile and 5K.
With a virtual option, discounted youth registration and a festive atmosphere, the Turkey Trot has been a meaningful way for families and friends to kick off Thanksgiving while giving back to the community.
