MARTIAL WAY DEFENSE ACADEMY 7TH-12TH GRADE BASKETBALL LEAGUE Instructors: Pam Hurt Boys and girls are welcome. This is an 8 game program, followed by a single elimination tournament. Practices and games are scheduled for Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This is a great, very affordable program for our kids! At the end of the year, we have a pizza party and parents vs kids’ game. Players and coaches of the first-place team will receive a trophy. Our Chief Instructor -- Mr. Travis Morton has 20 years of training experience. KID’S PICKLEBALL Dragons (4-6) - Thurs. - 5:00-5:45pm Our Dragons program utilizes creative learning strategies to appeal to our younger students’ unique learning style. The classes are geared towards focusing their energies and attention in a positive way. They learn basic martial arts skills, self-control, focus, balance and coordination. Youth (7-13) - Tues. & Thur. - 6:00-6:45pm Our Youth program is designed to bring the traditional martial art of Tang Soo Do to our children. Classes focus on martial arts techniques, self-defense, and positive mental & physical development. This class teaches the techniques and philosophies of a traditional martial art utilizing modern teaching methods. Instructor: Hannah Moss Teen & Adult (13+) - Tues. & Thurs. - 7:00-8:00pm For our older students we offer our highest level of instruction. In addition to learning the techniques of Tang Soo Do, students will delve deeper into their understanding of self-development and self-defense. We will work on basic acting skills such as using your body, using your face and using your voice onstage. We will also learn about basic theatre terminology and how to take direction. By the end, actors will be familiar with the terminology and basic skills needed to step on a stage! About the instructor: Hannah Moss is an actor, director, producer, choreographer and playwright who has spent more than 25 years honing her craft as both an amateur and professional actor. After graduating from Indiana University-Bloomington with a BA in Theatre & Drama, Hannah and her husband David opened and managed the non-profit theatre company Theatre of The People in Bloomington, Indiana.
