ROSS TOWNSHIP
FARMERS MARKET
This year was another great one for
Ross Township’s Farmers Market. The
market was held in the parking lot of its
partner, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran
Church, and open every Wednesday from
3 to 7 p.m. from mid-May until the last
weekend in October.
The Ross Township Farmers Market
was started in 2012 and is a small market
featuring 12 to 16 farm/food-based local
vendors, with crafters joining in for the
first and last three weeks of each season.
All of the vendor fees get donated to the
North Hills Food Bank, totaling well over
$2,000 each year!
The market offers flower, herb
and veggie plants in the spring, fresh
vegetables in the summer, preserves/
jams, sauces, pickles and “canned” veggies,
numerous handmade flavored pastas,
a wide range of olive oils and balsamic
vinegars, hot BBQ meals and BBQ sauce,
a variety of Amish baked goods, fresh
eggs, honey and honey products, German
garlic, hardy perennials, kitchen items,
homemade cookies and cakes, dog treats,
gyros and meat pies, ice balls, candies,
snacks and more.
Search Ross Twp. Farmers Market on
Facebook and “Like” the page for updates
throughout the year! There is something
for everyone—adults, kids and even dogs
on leashes are welcome each year.
