BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETINGS Ross Township Board of Commissioner public meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Each session will commence at 6:30 p. m. for a committee meeting, and at 7:30 p. m. the Board will conduct its public business meeting. Some meetings may be changed to accommodate holidays or special circumstances. The agenda for the next meeting will be posted on the website the Friday before the next meeting.

September 9th Children’ s Safety Event

I will be holding my annual Children’ s Safety Event on Saturday, September 9th at the Dougherty Veteran’ s Baseball Field in Etna from 10:00 a. m. until 1:00 p. m. The day will be filled with fun and informative activities and demonstrations for the children, including bike safety, fire safety, animal safety, food safety, and more. Children will also be able to explore emergency service vehicles.

September 23rd Shredding Event

My semi-annual Shredding Event will take place in the parking lot of the Cherry City Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, September 23rd from 9:00am until 11:00am. One of the best ways to protect your identity is to bring any of your old personal documents containing Social Security numbers, credit card numbers and bank account numbers and watch them be shredded on site.

· Iron City Workplace Services cannot accept phone books, spiral notebooks, binders, floppy discs, CD / DVDs, bound books or magazines, steel binder clips, steel ACCO fasteners and other hard metal or plastic materials. If it is raining on the day of the event, you can call my office and listen to a voicemail to find out if the event will be taking place.

Finally, my annual Senior Fair will be held sometime in October, please check with my office closer to the date for more specific information.
