They represent a cross section of young and old from 25 western Pennsylvania communities. Volunteer of the Year You might think that being a county councilman would fill up enough of a person’s schedule. But that’s not so for Ross Township resident Tom Baker, who not only serves in this role, but in several others as well, all for the good of the community. For this reason, Baker is the winner of the Community Awards for Service Excellence (CASE) Volunteer of the Year Award. In November, Baker was elected to represent District 1 in Allegheny County. He also serves as chief community affairs officer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh and president of the BBBS Pennsylvania State Association. His passion for the BBBS mission is evident through his more than 12 years of being a big brother to little brother Preston, and more than four years of being a big brother to little brother Eric. He is the president of Baker Leadership and has authored
