SPRING 2018 COMMISSIONERS
My wife, Jackie and I have been residents of Ross Township for over 10 years. We are both graduates of Shaler Area School District, and together we have three children, Lucy( 7), Maggie( 6), and Nellie( 3). In 2006, I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education in History from Slippery Rock University; I am currently in my 12th year as a Social Studies teacher at Shaler Area High School.
In my ten years as a resident of Ross, I have served on the Zoning and Hearing Board, and have run multiple basketball programs for Ross Township. As your Commissioner, I look forward to helping with our growth, improving our infrastructure, furthering the development of our business center, and revamping our township parks. member of our community and being able to continue to make Ross Township a great place to live and raise all of our families. Within the Board of Commissioners, I currently serve as the chairperson of the Administration Committee as well as serving as a member of the Finance, Parks and Recreation and MTSA Committees. Besides those duties I also act as a liaison between the various governmental organizations inside and outside of our township. Aside from being a commissioner, I currently am a high school English teacher at Shaler Area High School where I have been in the classroom for 13 years. I have earned Bachelor of Arts Degrees in both Journalism and English Education from IUP and LaRoche College respectively, as well as earning a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Leadership from Robert Morris University. I feel that I will be able to rely on experiences such as these to give our community a fresh perspective moving forward.
I am honored to serve the residents of the 4th Ward and Ross Township in its entirety. I want to express my utmost gratitude for the faith that they have instilled in me to be their Commissioner. I look forward to working with my fellow Commissioners and community members to continue to make Ross Township a great place to live and to raise our families.
