Chapter of the Year N orth Hills High School’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) club has been named Pennsylvania SADD Chapter of the Year by the PA SADD/DUI Association. The North Hills chapter topped more than 200 other chapters across the commonwealth to be selected for the award. Students were presented with the award at the PA SADD State Conference at Seven Springs Resort. The high school’s chapter is one of the building’s most popular and active students groups with more than 200 members, who strive to make a positive impact in the lives of others. This number has grown from a mere 30 members only a decade ago. In the past year alone, North Hills SADD members have: • Created personal videos and drafted announcements for all homerooms about the danger of drugs during Red Ribbon Week. The awareness activities for the week also included the sale of 400 T-shirts with the slogan “Too Smart to Start” and decorations throughout the building noting drug use statistics. • Held a Blacklight Charity Dance that raised more than $2,500 for the Wounded Warrior Project. • Conducted presentations about peer pre
