DURACHKO-GOTTFRIED ROSS TOWNSHIP CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD The Board of Commissioners presented the first ever Durachko-Gottfried Ross Township Citizen of the Year Award to Peg Durachko in honor of her service and dedication to our community. This award will be presented annually to a Ross Township individual or group of individuals who have made a meaningful and significant impact on our community. The recipients will have demonstrated a commitment to having made considerable, noteworthy, and long-lasting contributions to the lives of our residents and the families through the same selfless and caring manner displayed by Dr. Peg Durachko and Dr. Richard Gottfried, the remarkable citizens for whom this award is named. THE NORTH HILLS ART CENTER The North Hills Arts Center, located at 3432 Babcock Boulevard, is celebrating 60 years in business in Ross Township. The North Hills Art Center has been instilling their motto of, “Art for a Lifetime” for six decades and will continue to be a valuable asset to our community. The Board of Commissioners presented Executive Director of the North Hills Arts Center, Kim Freithaler, and Board President, Diane Pontoriero with a plaque honoring this incredible achievement. COMMISSIONER GRACE STANKO Commissioner Grace Stanko was honored at the 94th Annual Pennsylvania State Association of Township Commissioners Conference for 16 years of Outstanding Service as a Commissioner for Ross Township.
