It wasn’t until a few days into
the charrette that I started
feeling the pressure. The
group was getting along, we
had a lot of good ideas, and
the work was going smoothly.
Then reality set in and we
realized just how much we
had to do in a couple of days.
It felt like an impossible task
to complete.

MOUNTING
PRESSURE
As the deadline approached,
I remember hitting a wall. So
I went for a walk with Roy
and we came back with some
refreshments for the group.
Taking a little break together
was just what we needed. It
gave some perspective to the
project and let us unwind a
bit so we were ready to get
back to work.

The school was tucked away
in a residential area. I loved
all of the cobblestone
sidewalks and climbing vines
on the buildings. The brief
walks around the school
provided a good break from
the stress inside.
