W
ith this edition being
dedicated to health and
wellness, ARS Automotive
would like to remind you it’s a good
time to check on the “health and
wellness” of your vehicle. It’s also the
time of year when vehicle accidents
go up, and the risk is even greater for
new drivers that haven’t yet driven
under ice and snow conditions. For
these reasons, it’s best to keep your
vehicle as “healthy” as possible for the
upcoming rigors of winter driving.
Some areas of vehicle “health” to
keep in mind: Make sure your tires
have sufficient tread and are of the
all-season or winter variety. Always
try to keep your fuel tank above a
quarter full for those unexpected,
weather related traffic delays. Keep
your windshield washer reservoir full
for those sloppy commutes on the
highway. Make sure your windshield
wipers are doing their job without
streaking or skipping.
Also, it never hurts to keep an
emergency kit in your vehicle year-
round, but consider adding a blanket,
warmer clothes and an ice scraper to
your current kit.
If you find your vehicle is not as
“healthy” as you thought, give ARS
Automotive a call to schedule a
“checkup” and we’ll get ready to take
on the winter weather.
And please, put down the phone!
Slippery roads require much more
concentration.
