Dear Plum Families,
As our 2024 – 25 school year comes to an end, I am so proud of all that our district has accomplished together, including some great highlights that you’ ll see on the next pages. I know that our teachers, staff, and administrators have been working hard all year to deliver an incredible educational experience. As a result, our students are thriving in so many ways, and that’ s something our entire district community can celebrate.
When we see a student improve academically, or a school sports team improve their win-loss record, or any member of our district family receive local or national recognition for something they’ ve achieved, that’ s the kind of progress we can all get excited about.

The Plum Borough School District has developed a new website for tracking ongoing construction projects. Connect for detailed information about each individual project and join us in paving the way for the future of our school communities.
Looking ahead, our new Portrait of a Graduate will help shape the educational experience we create for every Plum student, and the strategic development of our comprehensive plan will influence our district’ s overall growth and direction for many years to come. Both of these initiatives include thoughtful input from parents, teachers, and other community members who are actively invested in our childrens’ future and want to ensure our goals and methods are working hand-in-hand.
As our Portrait of a Graduate highlights, while we will always strive to provide our students with all the in-class guidance they need to succeed academically, the jobs— and the challenges— of tomorrow will require our graduates to not just be intellectually rigorous learners. They will also need to become creative problem solvers, emotionally intelligent communicators, and empathetic dreamers who are not only capable of imagining a better future but also building it.
Seeing our entire school community come together to support our students’ development has been so encouraging, not just as an educator but also as an individual who cares deeply about the future of our district and our region. Thank you for all you do to help our students and teachers succeed, and I hope you have a wonderful summer!
