First Job: Fixing cars for STP. Years Tending Bar: 7 Biggest Challenge on the Job: I try and memorize just about everybody’s name and member number, and I try to keep a one-on-one basis with all the customers—knowing everybody, knowing everything about them. I like to have their drinks made when they walk in the door. That’s my biggest thing—having what they want before they even get to the bar to order it. Drink of Choice: I’m a beer guy. My favorite is Don De Deiux. That means “gift of God,” and it’s a Belgian-style beer from Quebec. Strangest Cocktail You’ve Made: It’s one of those drinks people order when they want to mess with someone. A Brain Aneurysm. It looks like a bloody brain floating in a glass. Best Part of Your Work: My job is fun. I get to hang out with people. I’ve become friends with everybody at the club, so the fact that I get paid and I get to hang out with people that are my friends is a definite bonus. We had a Golf Association dinner the other night, and I think there were about 120 people. It took me 30 to 40 minutes to walk around the room and say hi to everybody. I don’t frown when I have to come to work.

SIGNATURE COCKTAIL: THE GREEN THING

? 1 ounce Midori liqueur ? 1 ounce Malibu coconut rum ? ½ ounce Cointreau ? Splash of pineapple juice ? Splash of sour mix Combine all ingredients. Squeeze in the juice of about ¼ of a lime. Shake, strain over ice and garnish with fruit of your choice.
