Pine-Richland School District is welcoming a familiar face to
its administrative team at Pine-Richland High School. The school
board approved Ms. Stephanie Skrinjar as assistant principal at the
regular meeting on September 25.
"We are happy to announce the hire of Ms. Stephanie Skrinjar
as assistant principal at the high school," said Dr. Brian Miller ,
superintendent. "In her current position as transition counselor,
she has worked to support students, parents, and staff. Her background and experiences
at Pine-Richland will help facilitate a smooth transition into this administrative role."
Ms. Skrinjar has been serving as the transition counselor at Pine-Richland High School
since 2013 in which she advised students on course placement; developed Individualized
Education Program planning; served as the liaison between the school and outside
community agencies; and provided help regarding transition services, activities and other
programs.
"It is a privilege to continue to serve Pine-Richland High School in a new role as assistant
principal," Ms. Skrinjar said. "I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to carry out the
district's mission to focus on learning for both students and faculty."
She is working on a Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Administration from Point
Park University. Ms. Skrinjar holds a Master of Science in Education in School Counseling
from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Allegheny
College. Ms. Skrinjar is a certified principal in K-12 administration and a nationally certified
counselor.
"Ms. Skrinjar is a well-respected and well-liked member of the team by both staff
and students alike," said Mrs. Nancy Bowman. "We are excited to have her join our
administrative team at the high school, where she will be able to continue to contribute to
the goals and support our focus on the mission, vision and values of Pine-Richland."
Ms. Skrinjar will join Principal Nancy Bowman and Assistant Principal Laura Burns. She is
replacing Mr. Michael Silbaugh, who accepted a job as an assistant principal at Hampton
Middle School.
