PRHS Chamber Singers to Sing at State Level
The Pine-Richland High School Chamber Singers will perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association ' s( PMEA ' s) All-State Conference at the convention center in Erie on Apr. 20, 2017 at 10:30 a. m.
" This is a huge accomplishment," says PRHS Choral Director Lee Rickard. " While the sports comparison isn ' t always valid, it is our equivalent of winning a state championship. Hundreds of ensembles apply to be selected each year, and only a handful are successful. The competition is fierce and being This is Pine-Richland ' s third time in six years to be selected to perform( Women ' s Ensemble in 2011 and 2013), " I ' m so proud of these kids," says Rickard. " We ' re super excited, and we can ' t wait to showcase Pine-Richland music on a state level."
