Career Center Honors Juniors & Seniors
AW Beattie Career Center is honoring juniors and seniors. Pine-Richland High School Advertising Design senior Savannah Luhrman and Health Science Technology senior Frankie Tierno were named“ Students of the Month” for December. Advertising Design students Zachary Kratochvila and Hannah Polan and HVAC junior Greg Oliver were named“ Students of the Month” for November. In addition, PRHS junior Susan Bullington was named“ Student of the Month for September. She is studying advanced computer programming. Junior Sarah Krahnke is being recognized as Student of the Month for October for Advertising Design and junior Trevor Valentic for Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning.
AW Beattie Career Center is also recognizing Pine-Richland High School junior Trevor Wozniak for being selected as a SkillsUSA representative. Trevor, who is studying carpentry and building construction, will serve as a parliamentarian. SkillsUSA is a national student organization that develops career, participatory and leadership skills to complement the occupational skills developed by students in technical education classrooms or work-based learning sites
AW Beattie provides students opportunities to earn college credit and / or certifications in an array of careers.
Students Selected for PMEA Programs
Five Pine-Richland High School students were selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Regional Choir. They include seniors Alexa Chavara, Samantha Dzielski and Lauren McAllister and juniors Morgan Engle and Gabriel Schoone. The prestigious program took place at Gateway High School on Feb. 24. These students along with seniors Emily Eirkson and Jacob Pedersen, junior Sophie Hudock and sophomores Bryan Bails and Seamus Daniello, also participated in the PMEA District Choir that took place at Montour High School on Jan. 11 through 13.
