VINCENTIAN ACADEMY HAS IT ALL

In its 86th year, Vincentian Academy is a shining example of what a 21st century Catholic high school should be. Through its International Baccalaureate( IB) program, Vincentian Academy thoroughly prepares students for a college education while offering a comprehensive high school experience that includes service opportunities, a successful athletic program with a“ no-cut” policy, 35 clubs, and a top-notch performing arts program in a faith-filled environment.
The globally recognized IB program is a critical factor in Vincentian Academy students’ acceptance into the nation’ s most competitive colleges and universities. Vincentian Academy is the only Catholic high school in western Pennsylvania to have an IB program. An important component of the program is the service requirement. The IB program mandates a major service project, as it believes that service to others is a crucial component of a complete education.
In keeping with this 21st century mission, several of VA’ s 35 clubs are STEM related. These include the Chain Reaction Competition, the Robotics club, the Math club and PJAS. The success of the STEM curriculum is evident through these competitions and the many awards and scholarships earned by VA students.
Rounding out the Vincentian Academy experience is its very successful athletic program. The VA Royals have earned numerous WPIAL and PIAA state titles in the past. In the 2017-18 school year, VA earned four WPIAL titles( Cross Country, Girls and Boys Basketball, and Baseball) and one PIAA state championship in baseball.
