If providers determine that surgical intervention is needed, appointments can be scheduled nearby at UPMC Washington or the Tri-State Surgery Center on 80 Landings Drive in Washington.
“ It’ s really convenient, especially for people who live and work in the area,” explains Marc Cordero, MD, a general surgeon who specializes in wound care at UPMC.“ They don’ t have to cross bridges or go through tunnels to travel into Pittsburgh. They can save money on gas and parking and know exactly where to go and how long it will take them to get there.”
At our location in Peters Township, Dr. Cordero can treat nonhealing wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and venous leg ulcers. He uses treatments ranging from cellular tissue-based products to debridement to vacuum-assisted closure.
