EMBROIDERY MACHINE BASICS Monday, October 6, 1:30 to 4:30 p. m. Monday, November 3, 3:30 to 6:30 p. m. Monday, December 1, 1:30 to 4:30 p. m. Learn how to use the Makerspace’ s Baby Lock Aventura II Embroidery Machine. During this 45-minute session, you will learn the ins and outs of the embroidery machine and complete a small embroidery project to take home with you.
CRICUT CREATIONS Thursdays, October 9 & November 13, 2 to 3:30 p. m. or 6 to 7:30 p. m. Learn how to use the Cricut to make a project! Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn will guide you through learning the Design Space app, using the Cricut machine and completing your project. Please register for only one class per month.
3D PRINTING INTRO Thursday, October 16, 2 to 3 p. m. Thursday, December 4, 6:30 to 7:30 p. m. During this interactive presentation, you will learn how 3D printers work, examine 3D printed objects, and discuss how you can access and use the 3D printers in our Makerspace!

INTRO TO MACHINE SEWING Monday, October 13, 1:30 to 2:30 p. m. or 2:30 to 3:30 p. m. Monday, November 10, 4:30 to 5:30 p. m. or 5:30 to 6:30 p. m. Learn how to use the Makerspace sewing machines! During this program, participants will learn how to thread a machine, wind a bobbin and replace the needle. After the demonstration, participants will have the opportunity to try out a few stitches on our sewing machines and learn how they can access the machines outside the program. This program is intended for beginners.
3D PEN ART Friday, October 17, 2 to 3:30 p. m. Join us to create 3D designs using the Makerspace’ s 3D Pens. A 3D pen extrudes heated plastic from the pen ' s nozzle that cools almost instantly into a solid, stable structure, allowing for the free-hand creation of three-dimensional objects.
NEEDLE FELTING Tuesday, October 21, 10 to 11:30 a. m. or 2 to 3:30 p. m. Needle felting is the process of transforming wool into 3D objects using a barbed needle. In this class you will learn how to create a needle felted project!
CRICUT MACHINE 101 Wednesday, October 22, 2 to 3:30 p. m. Learn how to use the Cricut Maker 3! The Cricut Maker 3 is a smart cutting machine that can cut over 300 different materials. During this class, you will learn the capabilities of the Cricut machine, navigate through the Design Space software and complete a simple cut paper shape. This program is intended for beginners.
