PETERS TOWNSHIP HIRES SOCIAL SERVICES COORDINATOR

Peters Township has recently hired a Social Services Coordinator who is available to support the community with a variety of needs.
What services will the Social Services Coordinator provide?
Services provided by the Peters Township Social Services Coordinator may include( and are not limited to) crisis intervention, short term counseling, referral to local resources, and education for township residents. All services are voluntary. Common issues may include mental health and / or substance use concerns, financial / housing crisis, victim services( follow up / linkage to support), and other social service concerns as they arise.
Residents may see the Social Services Coordinator( SSC) supporting efforts from local first responders and the SSC may also receive referrals from other township organizations. Residents are strongly encouraged to self-refer for assistance.
Does the Social Services Coordinator have scheduled walk-in hours?
Walk-in office hours will be held at the Peters Township Public Library from 4:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. on the following dates: Tuesday, October 8th; Wednesday, November 19th; Wednesday, December 3rd. Future walk-in dates for 2026 and beyond will be listed on peterstownship. com / socialservices and on the Library Events Calendar webpage.
What if I need to speak to the Social Services Coordinator before the next scheduled office hours? Residents are encouraged to reach out to the Social Services Coordinator for support by completing a form that is available by visiting peterstownship. com / socialservices or scanning the QR code on this page. This form is not monitored 24 / 7. Information will be triaged based on acuity and order in which it is received.

While we encourage speaking to the Social Services Coordinator first, we do provide list of resources and phone numbers available to the community at peterstownship. com / socialservices or by scanning the QR code on this page.

Peters Township provides residents the option to sign up for the“ No Knock List”. As a resident, you can choose not to have vendors visit your home in the course of their door-to-door sales. This list is valid for five years, at which time you will be required to re-apply if you wish to continue enrollment.
Complete the short sign-up form at peterstownship. com / noknocklist. Although the Police Department collects additional information on the sign-up form, only your address and date of sign up will be visible on the list. Your name will not be included on any public list. This list will be updated on a regular basis and made available to the approved vendors. Not sure if you have already signed up? Residents are able to view the current noknock list at peterstownship. com / noknocklist to avoid signing up their address for a second time. As previously indicated, residents only have to sign up once every five years.
While on this section of the website, you may also view the Solicitors List, which includes current solicitors with the dates their permit is active for, along with recently expired permits.
