SEASONAL EVENTS
PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST For Ages 3 to 18 Thursday , Oct . 6 through Monday , Oct . 24 Youth Services Department Decorate a pumpkin to look like your favorite book character , then bring your pumpkin to the library to be voted on by patrons ! The first 24 people to register will receive a FREE pumpkin to get started . Pumpkin pickup runs from Oct 6 to Oct 10 . Decorated pumpkins are due to the library by Oct 24 . We will pick the winners on Oct 27 . We will not limit how many participate in the program ; only the first 24 registered will receive a free pumpkin .
TEEN HALLOWEEN POTION BOTTLES For Grades 7 to 12 Tuesday , Oct . 11 , 6:30 to 7:30 p . m . Multi-Purpose Room , 1st floor Get ready for a spooky season by making your own creepy Halloween potions ! We will provide you with the supplies to make one decorative glass potion bottle with LED string lights . Registration is required for each teen participating .
NOT-SO-SCARY MOVIE MARATHON For Grades 7 to 12 Thursday , Oct . 27 , 1 to 8 p . m . Teen Room , 1st floor No school today , so join us with your friends for an epic Halloween movie binge ! We have a full day of movies , snacks , and Halloween shenanigans planned for you . 1 p . m . - Hocus Pocus , 3:30 p . m . – Beetlejuice , 6 p . m . – Ghostbusters
ALL AGES MARIO KART TOURNAMENT For Grades 1 to 12 Wednesday , Nov . 23 , 1 to 4:30 p . m . Teen Room , 1st floor Start your Thanksgiving break off right with a Mario Kart Tournament ! TODDLER TALES For Ages 2 to 3 ½ Every Monday thru Nov . 7 , 10 to 10:30 a . m . Multi-Purpose Room , 1st floor Join Ms . Shannon for stories , fingerplays , songs , and a simple craft as we celebrate fall together . Registration is required for each session for each child participating . BOOK BABIES For Birth to 18 months Every Tuesday through Nov . 8 , 10 to 10:20 a . m . Multi-Purpose Room , 1st floor Clap and sing along to tunes while working on fine and gross motor skills and following directions with Ms . Patty ’ s help .
