COUNCIL RECOGNIZES CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING TEAMS
Peters Township Council invited the Peters Township High School Hockey Team & the Peters Township High School Dance Team to Council Meetings over the summer to be recognized and honored for each team winning championships in their respective sports . Congratulations on the accomplishments of both teams !
HELPFUL GARBAGE & RECYCLING TIPS
• Residents are allowed one bulk item per week . A bulk item is a larger item that does not fit into your trash bin and is in addition to normal household trash . Residents do not need to call or e-mail to place out a bulk item . Place the item curbside 3 feet away from your trash bin .
• To recycle household hazardous waste and electronics , call 1.800.449.7587 or visit wmatyourdoor . com . These items are recycled through the Waste Management At Your Door program . There is no charge to recycle these items ; however , you must arrange a pickup day by calling or through the website . For a list of what items are accepted , visit peterstownship . com / hhw .
• To recycle glass and cardboard , visit the area behind Fire Station # 1 , located at 245 E . McMurray Road . A glass recycling container is available , as well as a cardboard compactor . Both items are free to use during daylight hours . To clarify , glass is not recyclable through the curbside program ; however , cardboard is recyclable curbside and may be placed in your
12 PETERS TOWNSHIP recycling bin . The compactor is helpful if you have large amounts of cardboard to recycle and are unable to fit it all in your recycling bin .

• Garbage and recycling must be curbside by 6 a . m . on your scheduled day .
