WELCOME TO THE NEW PTMS

Last winter , crews began work on the conversion of the former High School to the new Middle School for grades 6-8 . Most of the work for the $ 16 million project focused on improving the infrastructure of the building and converting the current pool area into a new main entrance with offices for the school administrators and counselors . The scope of work also included new roof , windows , light and upgraded heating , ventilation and air conditioning systems .

While minor work will continue this fall , the building was ready to welcome students and staff on August 24th to their new Middle School home . Special orientation sessions for all grades were held prior to the first day of school to help all students acclimate to their new building .
“ This new building and the addition of 6th grade to our school provides so many opportunities for our staff and students ,” said Adam Sikorski , PTMS Principal . “ We have so many new spaces and new courses as we begin this year – I think we are all excited at the possibilities ahead for our students .”
