Three members of ATA McMurray came home World Champions after competing in the American Taekwondo Championships .

three members of the ATA McMurray dojang recently competed in the American Taekwondo Association ’ s ( ATA ) World Championships , and placed in the top three . Gianna Combs , Gabriel Yost and Master Cameron Stadtfeld brought this honor home to Peters Township . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the ATA
2020 World Championships were postponed until this year , from July 26 to Aug . 1 in Phoenix , Arizona . After competing locally , regionally , statewide , districtwide
( which includes competitors from Maine through Virginia ), nationwide and even internationally , students who rank in the top 10 in the world earn an opportunity to compete at the ATA World Championships in one or more categories .
There are a variety of categories , including traditional forms , traditional weapons , traditional sparring , combat weapons sparring , XMA forms , XMA weapons , team sparring , team combat weapons sparring , team sync , creative forms and creative weapons .
