FROM THE PUBLISHER Welcome to the October/November issue of IN Peters Township Magazine! As you’re carving pumpkins and putting up your autumn and Halloween decorations, we hope you take time to read about all the wonderful events offered by the Peters Township Parks & Recreation Department. Our community is fortunate to have such fun and comprehensive programs for every age! This season, don’t miss the spooky movie at sunset at the Amphitheater in Peterswood Park on Friday, Oct. 11. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy food trucks, popcorn and sweets. On Saturday, Oct. 19, kids 10 and under can also trick-or-treat along the paved trail in Peterswood Park. And with the holidays around the corner, there are dozens of events to bring cheer to the entire family—from a candy cane hunt to the annual tree lighting ceremony and holiday party, as well as classes for ornament making, painting, Zumba, yoga, boxing, volleyball, senior lunches, card clubs, ski trips and much more! There are even classes for your pooch! For a full list of community events, see pages 14-21. Here’s to a festive fall season!
